About Miki
Miki Takashima is a photographer, writer, and creative director whose work spans editorial, lifestyle, and architectural projects. Guided by a deep reverence for the natural world, Miki focuses on the souls of subjects ranging from dirt roads and mountain tops to contemporary dwellings and cultural institutions. She is especially interested in the spaces people choose to call home and initiatives rooted in sustainability.
Miki’s work regularly appears in the Japanese design publications Jutaku Kenchiku, Casa Brutus, I’m home., and Shoten Kenchiku, as well as in projects for partners including The Museum of Modern Art and The Noguchi Museum.
Miki is currently based in New York. She was born and raised in Yokohama, Japan, and studied Space Design at the Kuwasawa Design School in Tokyo.

エディトリアル、ライフスタイル、そして建築プロジェクトにおいて多面的なビジュアルストーリーを展開している。
自然界に対する深い畏敬の念を原動力に、未舗装の泥道や山頂といった大自然の風景から、現代の住空間、そして世界的な文化機関（美術館）にいたるまで、あらゆる被写体が内包する「魂（存在）」のあり方に強くフォーカスしている。特に、人々が自らの意思で「住処（ホーム）」と呼ぶ空間の気配や、サステナビリティ（持続可能性）に根ざした先駆的な取り組みに深い関心を寄せている。
彼女の作品は、『住宅建築』『Casa BRUTUS』『I’m home.』『商店建築』をはじめとするデザイン・建築メディアに定期的に掲載されているほか、近代美術館（MoMA）やイサム・ノグチ美術館（The Noguchi Museum）といった世界的なアート機関の公式プロジェクトにもビジュアルを提供している。
横浜生まれ。東京の桑沢デザイン研究所にてスペースデザインを専攻。現在はニューヨークを拠点に、世界を舞台に活動を展開している。
